El Discreto is a work by the Jesuit priest, orator, and professor of Humanities and Moral Theology, Baltasar Gracián y Morales. In this book, Gracián presents a vision of the world where the existence of heroes is no longer possible, but only of discreet and virtuous people. Through various genres, the author plays with irony and allegory, anticipating his magnum opus: El Criticón. This edition by Trymar, published in 2008, offers a profound reflection on the nature of success and prudence in life.
