«El dragón rojo» is a children's picture book by Max Velthuijs, published by Libros del Zorro Rojo in hardcover (40 pages, in Spanish).
In a small country, the arrival of a huge red dragon bewilders its inhabitants. Though they fear it may be a threat, the monster only eats crops and prefers breathing fire to being a soldier or a tourist attraction. A story about coexistence, friendship and difference, with simple-line illustrations and vivid colors.
Original work: «Het goedige monster» (1973), written and illustrated by Max Velthuijs. This edition, in the «Álbum ilustrado» collection, includes a translation by Moka Seco Reeg.
Aimed at young readers aged 4 to 12 and at families who want to share a read-aloud experience.
