«El Espejo Distraído» is a collection of poems and verse tales by Elsa Bornemann, published by Alfaguara in paperback (124 pages, in Spanish).
It brings together poems and verse tales featuring fantastic characters and unusual situations, with humor and a touch of surprise. The play between reality and imagination runs through these texts, where the everyday becomes strange and amusing; the cover anticipates this with a girl whose reflection in the mirror is a cat, among small robots.
The edition is from August 2006 and belongs to Alfaguara Infantil; the work was originally published in 2001. The cover features illustrations by Matías Trillo.
Suitable for readers aged 9 to 12 interested in poetry and verse tales.
