In 'The Spy,' Justo Navarro immerses us in an espionage plot set in Italy during World War II. The American poet Ezra Pound, from Radio Roma, participates in the propaganda battle against the Allies, arousing suspicions in the Italian counterintelligence services. Was Pound transmitting encrypted messages to the enemy? Was he a double agent or a criminal figure? The story is told to J. N., translator and friend of mystery novelist Carlo Trenti, who resides in Pisa during the same months as Pound. A novel that explores the ambiguity of reality and the universe of espionage.
