«El evangelio de Judas» is the suspense novel by Simon Mawer, published by RBA Bolsillo in paperback (384 pages, in Spanish).
Leo Newman, world expert in Koine Greek, must authenticate an ancient papyrus found by the Dead Sea. The text, supposedly written in the first century, recounts the life of Jesus from the point of view of Judas Iscariot and contradicts the New Testament. If it proved authentic, it would call into question the foundations of Christianity.
The original English title is 'The Gospel of Judas'. The Spanish translation is by Damián Alou. It is number 59 in the Ficción collection.
For readers of intrigue and suspense novels with a religious background.
Simon Mawer was a British author who lived in Italy.
