«El fill del xofer» is the biography of Alfons Quintà written by Jordi Amat, published by Edicions 62 in paperback (264 pages, in Catalan).
Rise and fall of Alfons Quintà, journalist and lawyer, a figure in Catalonia's power networks. Amat interweaves his prestigious career —delegate of El País, first director of TV3— with the dark side: blackmail, abuse and manipulation. The narrative, with pujolism and the image of an oasis in the background, is a portrait of the mechanisms of power.
The book belongs to the No Ficció collection of Edicions 62 and was published on November 11, 2020.
It will interest readers of biographies and those who want a critical look at Catalan politics and journalism of the last fifty years.
