«El filósofo del martillo» is the novel by David López, published by Planeta in hardcover (218 pages, in Spanish).
A group of kidnappers holds several people and imposes on them, in a distorted way, Nietzsche's ideas as a way of life. The plot explores the boundary between truth and what a human mind can tolerate, and calls morality and sensibility into question.
The first edition, in hardcover with dust jacket (24 x 16 cm), came out in May 2001 within the Planeta Fábula collection.
For readers of contemporary fiction looking for a tense novel with a philosophical backdrop.
