«El flautista de Hamelín» is a children's story by Xosé Ballesteros, published by Kalandraka in hardcover, in Spanish.
A plague of rats invades Hamelin and no one can stop it. A piper offers to rid the town with his music and succeeds; but when the inhabitants deny him the promised reward, he plays again and takes all the town's children, who disappear without a trace. Xosé Ballesteros's version recovers this classic legend with a simple, accessible style.
Published in 2002. With illustrations by Samuel Ribeyron. Category: Children's and Young Adult.
Aimed at early readers and families who want to share a classic legend aloud.
