«O gato con botas» is the children's tale adapted into Galician by Xosé Ballesteros and illustrated by Enjamio, published by Kalandraka (24 pages, in Galician).
The story adapts the classic «El gato con botas» into Galician: a very cunning cat uses his intelligence and small tricks to lift his young master out of poverty, make him the Marquis of Carabás, and get the king to offer him his daughter's hand.
It belongs to Kalandraka's «Contos do trasno» collection and was published in 2005.
Aimed at children, it serves to introduce the youngest to traditional Galician literature, at home or in the classroom.
