«El gallitigre» is the novel by Javier Tomeo, published by Planeta in paperback (149 pages, in Spanish).
Augusto, in a circus, seeks an animal to identify with; he finds none among the zodiac signs or in an old German woodcut that associates each age with a beast. Only the gallitigre, an imaginary offspring of the love between a tiger and a hen, could embody the union of opposites and universal brotherhood.
The book belongs to Planeta's Spanish and Latin American Authors Collection and was published in Barcelona in 1990.
For readers of contemporary Spanish fiction and the work of Javier Tomeo.
Javier Tomeo was a Spanish (Aragonese) essayist, dramatist, and novelist.
