«El gato Mikos» is the children's book by Jurij Brezan, published by SM in 1993 in hardcover (96 pages, in Spanish).
It tells the story of Tomás and his inseparable cat Mikos: an everyday friendship that is interrupted by a moment of carelessness and ends with the two separated. Throughout the tale, the boy and the cat each experience the distance in their own way, and the bond they have built proves stronger than circumstances.
The work is part of the El Barco de Vapor collection, in its gold series, and includes illustrations by Květa Pacovská. This is the 2nd edition.
Aimed at young readers, especially those who enjoy stories of friendship between a child and their pet.
Jurij Brězan was a Sorbian writer. His works, especially the novels, narrative works and children's books, were available in the two languages German and Upper Sorbian.
