«El gran Calvin y Hobbes ilustrado» is a collection of comic strips by Bill Watterson, published by EDB Comics in hardcover (256 pages, in Spanish).
It brings together the strips starring Calvin, a six-year-old boy with a boundless imagination, and Hobbes, his stuffed tiger who comes to life in their games. Their conversations and mischief combine humor, irony and philosophical questions about everyday life; the Sunday pages are presented in color.
Translation by Francisco Pérez Navarro from the original English. The Spanish edition was published in July 2000.
For fans of all ages and for those who want to discover Calvin and Hobbes in Spanish.
William Boyd Watterson II is an American cartoonist who authored the comic strip Calvin and Hobbes. The strip was syndicated from 1985 to 1995. Watterson concluded Calvin and Hobbes with a short statement to newspaper readers that he felt he had achieved all he could in the medium. Watterson is known for his negative views on comic syndication and licensing, his efforts to expand and elevate the newspaper comic as an art form, and his move back into private life after Calvin and Hobbes ended.
