«El hombre que viaja» is the young adult novel by Javier Requero, published by Rialp in paperback (132 pages, in Spanish).
Carlos gets into a striking black car that stops by a road, and his life takes a turn toward tension and mystery. The driver is an enigmatic traveler: who is he, and why does he never stop traveling? The answer proves more unsettling than the questions. A young adult tale with a direct, colloquial style.
The book is part of the El Roble Centenario collection and features illustrations by Juan Ramón Alonso. The second edition is from 1996; the story was published in 1991.
For young readers aged 12 and up; a story that invites reflection, as a reader who read it in their adolescence recalls.
