«El horizonte humano: La propuesta de Jesús» is the religious essay by Juan Mateos and Fernando Camacho, published by Ediciones El Almendro, in paperback (200 pp.).
Starting from the contact between Christian communities and a plural society, the book is aimed above all at young people without religious training. It presents the main lines of Jesus' message based on the four gospels, in secular language and without theological terminology.
Second installment of the collection «En torno al Nuevo Testamento».
Recommended for young people without religious training and for readers who want to approach Jesus' message from a secular perspective.
Juan Mateos was a horseback hunter and the principal arbalist of Philip IV of Spain. In 1634, he authored Origen y dignidad de la caça, a hunting treatise dedicated to the Count-Duke of Olivares. In his dedication he said, "I write solely what I have done, and what I have seen; and what I have seen, do."
