«El laberinto» is the novel by Manuel Mujica Láinez, published by Editorial Sudamericana in paperback (263 pages, in Spanish).
The novel recounts the life of Ginés de Silva, the boy portrayed by El Greco in «El entierro del conde de Orgaz», from his childhood in Seville to his death when he was already in his eighties. The narrative combines the character's personal trajectory with the world of painting and the Spain of his time.
The 1989 edition is the fourth of the title.
