«El Lazarillo de Amberes» is Eliacer Cansino's young adult novel, published by Anaya Infantil y Juvenil in paperback (64 pages, in Spanish).
Lolo thinks his father is an absurd man: he runs a bookshop of rare and curious books, drives a Seat 1500, wears an old-fashioned raincoat and suffers from narcolepsy. A trip to buy a rare edition of El Lazarillo de Tormes turns into an adventure and, in the end, Lolo sees his father in a new light.
The work, published in 2009, belongs to the Espacio de la Lectura collection (no. 12) and features illustrations by Federico Delicado.
Recommended for readers aged 14 and up, especially those who enjoy stories about books and parent-child relationships.
