«El llarg viatge d’A» is the young adult novel by Francesc Serés i Guillén, published by Cruïlla in paperback (144 pages, in Catalan).
A wall separates the White kingdom from the Black kingdom, two almost identical territories in the land of Chess, where nuances are frowned upon. Pawn A, tired of his imposed role, breaks the rules to understand the history of that enmity and seek a reasonable coexistence. Along the way, alliances shift and the colors are no longer so pure.
El Vaixell de Vapor collection (El Barco de Vapor Roja, no. 156), with illustrations by Adrià Fruitós. Recommended reading from age 12.
For young readers looking for an adventure with reflection on discrimination, prejudice and coexistence.
