«El llibre de la quietud» is the poetry work by Xulio Ricardo Trigo, published by Bromera Edicions in 2003 in paperback (59 pages, in Catalan).
The poetry collection reflects on the power of writing against oblivion and death: the printed word is presented as a bulwark against the arbitrary, and the speaker addresses a you who intuits a hidden condition. Matter and desire intertwine in verses that probe what writing reveals.
It belongs to the Bromera poesía collection (no. 54). It received the Premi ex-aequo de poesia Vicent Andrés Estellés, Ajuntament de Burjassot, and the Premi de la Crítica dels Escriptors Valencians.
For readers of contemporary poetry in Catalan and for those seeking acclaimed works of Valencian literature.
