Synopsis of El llibre de les endevinalles

«El llibre de les endevinalles» is the riddle book by Carme Alcoverro and Carmen Queralt, published by Barcanova in hardcover (128 pages, in Catalan).

It collects riddles from Catalan popular culture, of anonymous authorship, about animals, plants, objects, foods, the universe and meteorology, with local references such as the porrón, espadrilles or mushrooms. The illustrations hide clues to solve them, and it suggests memorizing them and inventing new ones to play with the family.

Published in 2002, with illustrations by Carmen Queralt, within the «Llibres Infantils I Juvenils» series by Barcanova.

Recommended for early readers and children aged 5 to 8; also a resource for playing at home or in the classroom.
