«El mapa del bosque» is the children's story by Ana Alonso, published by Anaya Infantil y Juvenil in paperback (96 pages, in Spanish).
The witch Rebeca finds the map of a hidden treasure, but the distances are measured in steps and each forest inhabitant uses a different step. To solve the problem, the city fairies teach her to measure lengths with units such as the step and the meter. The story thus introduces math concepts while readers accompany the protagonist on her quest.
It is part of the Pizca de Sal collection, aimed at combining literature with curricular content.
Recommended for early readers aged 6 or 7 and up, especially those interested in stories with math learning.
