«El misteri de l'habitació groga» is the mystery novel by Gaston Leroux, published by Laertes editorial, S.A. in paperback (244 pages, in Catalan).
The story starts from the classic locked-room enigma: inside an apparently sealed room a crime is committed and, when those waiting outside break down the door, they find only the victim, never the attacker. The journalist-detective Joseph Rouletabille investigates the case, which becomes complicated when the criminal seems to vanish before his pursuers.
It is the first installment of the Joseph Rouletabille series. Catalan translation by Pere Martí i Bertran; the original French work was published in 1907 as «Le mystère de la chambre jaune».
For readers of mystery classics and locked-room enigmas, with an interest in the origins of detective fiction.
Gaston Louis Alfred Leroux was a French journalist and author of detective fiction.
