«El misterio de la momia» is the historical novel by Théophile Gautier, published by Ediciones Gaviota in paperback (266 pages, in Spanish).
The narrative takes place in the Egypt of the pharaohs, recreated in detail. Within this setting unfolds the love story of the maiden Tahoser, whose beauty retains its power beyond life. The careful prose and documentary rigor of the work are associated with the renewal of the historical novel.
Published in 2005, it belongs to the Trébol de oro / Novela collection. The Spanish edition includes a translation by Elena del Amo de la Iglesia and illustrations by Antonio Rivate Manzano.
Recommended for readers aged 10 and over interested in children's and young adult literature and in stories set in ancient Egypt.
