In 'The Alphabetical Order', Juan José Millás presents us with a fictional world that, although it may seem strange, is not entirely alien to us. Is it possible to live in two different worlds and alternate between them at will? Could there be a reality governed by the alphabetical order of each word? What would happen if letters began to disappear in this system? Millás, with his characteristic ingenuity, invites us to reflect on these questions in a novel that has been praised for its fun tone and intriguing plot.
Juan José Millás is a Spanish writer and winner of the 1990 Premio Nadal. He was born in Valencia and has spent most of his life in Madrid, where he studied philosophy and literature at the Universidad Complutense.
