«El partido del año» is the illustrated children's story by Núria Figueras and Eduard Martorell, published by La Galera in paperback (24 pages, in Spanish).
With one minute left before the end of the school final, the match between the Toros and the Chacales depends on a penalty. The story focuses on that final play and leaves it in the air whether the shot will be enough to decide who takes the title.
It belongs to the collection «El botiquín de La Galera», dedicated to the prevention of school risks; it is its number 3. Illustrations by Javier Andrada and translation from Catalan by Paulino Rodríguez.
Recommended for early readers aged 7 and up, with special interest for boys and girls who are soccer fans.
