«El peixet d'or» is the children's story by Anonymous, published by La Galera in hardcover (24 pages, in Catalan).
An old fisherman lives with his wife in a humble cottage by the sea. One morning, as he pulls in his net, he notices it weighs much more than usual: he has caught a golden fish. The encounter with this extraordinary creature gives rise to a tale with a folk flavor, with the sea and the simplicity of everyday life as its setting.
It belongs to the Popular collection (no. 18), adapted by M. Eulàlia Valeri and illustrated by Francesc Infante. Published in 1994, it is a Catalan version of a tale of Russian origin.
Recommended for children aged 6 to 8, especially for those approaching reading in Catalan.
