Pepe is a tall, red-haired pirate with a wooden leg and an eye patch, owner of a galleon and many riches. Although other sailors fear him, he is not happy: he gives up his treasures and settles on an island, where he shares out his loot and discovers that happiness lies not in material things but in living comfortably with oneself.
It is part of the «Cuentos de ahora» collection (no. 42). The text uses capital letters and is aimed at readers aged 3 to 5; the illustrations are by Mikel Valverde.
A story for early readers aged 3 and up, recommended for talking about emotions and happiness with the youngest.
