«El príncipe feliz y otros cuentos» is a collection of fairy tales by Oscar Wilde, published by Ediciones SM in hardcover (92 pages, in Spanish).
This book brings together fairy tales featuring princes, giants, nightingales and roses, with a marked moral message and great tenderness. They are short narratives full of imagination, in which Oscar Wilde combines delicacy, irony and humor, and which have kept their original freshness intact.
Original title: The Happy Prince and Other Tales (1888). This 1984 edition is from the Narraciones de Ayer y de Hoy collection, with illustrations by Piero Crida in color and black and white.
Aimed at child and young adult readers, it is a good gateway to classic tales, also for adults who want to rediscover Wilde's short fiction.

Oscar Fingal O'Fflahertie Wills Wilde was an Irish author, poet and playwright. After writing in different literary styles throughout the 1880s, he became one of the most popular and influential dramatists in London in the early 1890s. He was a key figure in the emerging Aestheticism movement of the late 19th century and is widely regarded as the greatest playwright of the Victorian era. Wilde is best known for his Gothic novel The Picture of Dorian Gray (1890), his epigrams, plays and bedtime stories for children, as well as his criminal conviction in 1895 for gross indecency and for practicing homosexual acts.
