«El rei Túnix» is a children's story by Mira Lobe, published by Cruïlla in hardcover (91 pages, in Catalan).
The protagonist, King Túnix, is a good man at heart, but his heart is so covered in fat and laziness that only Pimpernella, his daughter, can see it. She, who is not at all slow-witted and loves her father dearly, will try to get someone to put him on a diet and make the king show his true self.
It belongs to the El Vaixell de Vapor collection from Cruïlla (no. 3). The original German title is «König Tunix» (1979); the Catalan edition has illustrations by Roser Rius and translation by Jordi Ibáñez.
For children and young readers: an illustrated story about the relationship between a father and his daughter, and about appearances and kindness.
Mira Lobe was an Austrian writer of more than 100 children's books.
