«El sexe dels àngels» is the contemporary fiction novel by Terenci Moix, published by Editorial Planeta in hardcover and in Catalan.
In the bustling Barcelona of the 1960s, the arrival of young writer Lleonard Pler disrupts the cultural scene: his charisma and provocative ways make him a fascinating figure, surrounded by mysteries no one fully unravels. The novel portrays the literary world and the city's customs with irony, between admiration and enigma.
The full original title is «Lleonard o El sexe dels àngels: una historia catalana». The work was awarded the Premi Ramon Llull 1992 and the Premi Lletra d'Or 1993.
For readers of Catalan narrative and contemporary fiction with an interest in Barcelona's cultural life in the 1960s.
Terenci Moix was a Spanish writer, who wrote in the Spanish and in Catalan languages. He was the brother of poet/novelist Ana Maria Moix.
