«El silenci del món: La noia del ball. Sota la pols» is the volume that brings together two novels by Jordi Coca in paperback (600 pages, Catalan, labutxaca).
The work interweaves two novels forming a diptych: the happy childhood of a mother in Menorca and the turbulent adolescence of her son in Barcelona, marked by arbitrary authoritarianism. A wide range of characters between innocence, violence and mystery runs through both parts, which can be read separately but are enriched together.
Published in 2011, the volume belongs to the Labutxaca collection; the novel «Sota la pols» received the Sant Jordi Prize 2000.
Aimed at the general public, especially readers of contemporary fiction interested in the work of Jordi Coca.
