«El tacte» is a children's book by José María Parramón Vilasaló and Maria Rius, published by Parramón in paperback (32 pages, in Catalan).
It invites the youngest to discover the sense of touch through everyday scenes featuring children and animals. The illustrations, in soft tones, are the main language of the narrative and serve as a stimulus to observe nature and the social environment, awakening the pleasure of reading.
It belongs to the collection «Primera biblioteca de los niños»; this copy is the eighth edition, published in July 1996. Recommended age: from 4 years.
A good option to introduce children to the knowledge of the five senses and foster a taste for illustrated books.

Maria Rius was a Catalan prisoner support activist and anarchist militant. She organised numerous prison escapes during the time of the dictatorship of Primo de Rivera. After the proclamation of the Second Spanish Republic, she stormed a women's prison in Barcelona and agitated for amnesty for political prisoners. She fought on the Aragon front during the Spanish Civil War, before fleeing into exile in France.
