Josep Maria Espinàs writes letters to his daughter Olga, who has Down syndrome, to explain what she is like and how he sees her. Through this life experience, the book reflects on the human condition, coexistence and respect for difference, with sensitivity and without sentimentality.

Published in 1986, it has been translated into eight languages and has had numerous editions in Catalan; it has also been used as reading in schools.
