In 1492, the Jewish community of Vitoria prepares to leave Spain, but an unforeseen event delays their departure. Amid grudges and mistrust, coexistence gives way to gestures of friendship and tolerance; in the end, a collective promise seals the bond between two peoples and endures beyond time.
It belongs to the Alta Mar collection (number 39), with illustrations by J. R. Alonso; it was selected for the CCEI Honor List in 1991.
Recommended for young readers aged 12 and over interested in historical fiction and coexistence between cultures.
