«El tió de Nadal» is the children's picture book by Estel Baldó, Rosa Gil and Maria Soliva, published by Barcanova in paperback (24 pages, in Catalan).
Story about the Catalan tradition of the tió de Nadal: a log that children "make poop" so it leaves gifts. With short texts, song fragments and humorous illustrations, it accompanies the preparation of Christmas Eve and the moment when the tió hands out its gifts.
Part of the El bosc de colors collection from Barcanova. Each double page presents the text in print and cursive letters to encourage independent reading.
Recommended for children from 4 years old who are starting to read, and for families who want to share Catalan Christmas traditions.
