«El topo Timoteo y Yolanda Yomisma» is a children's book by Maite Carranza, published by SM in paperback (61 pages, in Spanish).
Timoteo is a mole who meets Yolanda Yomisma, a woman who lives outside gender roles: she drives buses, looks after her children and dreams of flying planes. The story invites children to overcome stereotypes and fight for what they want, showing that abilities do not depend on sex.
The book belongs to the collection «La pipa de la paz», of which it is the fifth title. The original Catalan edition was published as «El talp Eudald i la Violeta Vullserjo».
A reading for early readers that invites conversation about gender equality and following one's own dreams.
