«El vaso de plata» is Antoni Marí's collection of short stories, published by Libros del Asteroide in paperback (136 pages, in Spanish).
Fourteen stories that recover moments from its protagonist's adolescence: Sunday outings, the death of a friend, a first trip away from home, the vertigo of a prank and the first days of vacation. They are sketches of moral and sentimental formation, with sober and restrained prose, about learning pain and love and the path towards individuality.
Volume 29 of the Libros del Asteroide collection, with a prologue by Ignacio Martínez de Pisón. The work, originally published in Catalan in 1991, won the Barcelona City and Serra d'Or Critics awards in 1992.
For readers aged 15 and over interested in contemporary fiction and in coming-of-age stories about memory and the transition to adult life.
