«El viajero perdido» is the collection of eleven short stories by José María Merino, published by Alfaguara in paperback (184 pages, in Spanish).
Eleven stories where everyday reality crosses with the fantastic: characters dragged by literary obsession, the struggle with words and the insistence of dreams wander through enigmatic spaces. The common thread is the difficulty of memory, and the narration hints that the mysterious is the true reverse of the real.
It was published in 1992 and belongs to the Alfaguara Hispánica collection.
Adult readers seeking contemporary Spanish short fiction with atmospheres where the unusual surfaces in daily life.
