«Els contes del llop» is a children's storybook by Ramon Monton Lara, published by Edicions del Pirata in paperback (120 pages, in Catalan).
One night a voice sounds from upstairs: it's a friendly wolf who, when not on the Moon, tells wacky stories. There are tales of a princess who couldn't play the guitar, a town that used funnels as umbrellas, and tiny characters that fit in a thimble. Short, imaginative stories for eight-year-old readers.
It belongs to the El Pirata Groc collection (no. 36) and was awarded the Premi Lola Anglada. Published in 2008; with illustrations by José María Lavarello.
Recommended for boys and girls aged 8 and up, also for reluctant readers who enjoy short stories and wacky humor.
