«Els llops de la lluna roja» (Premi Ramon Muntaner 2002) is a young adult novel by Josep Francesc Delgado Mercader, published by Estrella Polar in paperback.
In February 1939, as Franco's troops arrive, young Maria follows her dog Fílax toward the mountain, hounded by wolves in the Berguedà. She then discovers that wolves and real men bear little resemblance to what she had been told. The war, with historical events, is narrated through anonymous characters and shows its human tragedy.
