«En Busca del Actor y del Espectador» is the theatre theory essay by Marco De Marinis, published by Editorial Galerna in paperback (252 pages, in Spanish).
Marco De Marinis starts from the idea that theatre is not complete without the audience's gaze and examines how actor and spectator seek and condition each other on stage. He analyzes the interaction between those who act and those who observe to rethink reception and the active role of the spectator in the performing arts.
«En Busca del Actor y del Espectador» bears the subtitle «Comprender el teatro II» and belongs to the Teatrología collection.
It is intended for theatre students and professionals who want to deepen their understanding of the link between stage and audience.
