«En Cesc» is a children's story by Paula Carballeira, published by Kalandraka in hardcover (36 pages, in Catalan).
A mouse living on the Moon discovers that it is not made of fresh cheese and feels disappointed. The Moon then rocks him and sings melodies about the stars and planets, secrets only she knows; thus the mouse leaves sadness behind. The illustrations, with warm tones and dark backgrounds, evoke the space where the story takes place.
First published in 2001.
For a children's audience, with an animal protagonist and a story set on the Moon.
