«En el mar de la imaginación» is a children's short story book by Rafael Calatayud Cano, published by Edelvives in paperback (112 pages, in Spanish).
The boys and girls in this book talk to the rain, play with imaginary friends, get angry with their shadow, walk upside down, travel the world, protect their doll, teach a cat to read and count waves. Everything happens in the sea of imagination, the symbolic place where all children swim.
Volume 31 of the Ala Delta collection - Blue series, with illustrations by Roger Olmos Pastor. Published in 2003, it was awarded the XIV Ala Delta Prize.
Aimed at children and young adults, although reader reviews also recommend it for adults.
