En la ardiente oscuridad es una obra teatral del dramaturgo español Antonio Buero Vallejo. La obra, ambientada en una escuela para ciegos, explora temas como la verdad, la ilusión y la aceptación de la realidad. Un nuevo estudiante, Carlos, llega a la escuela con la firme convicción de que la ciencia puede devolver la vista a los ciegos. Su idealismo choca con la resignación de los demás estudiantes, especialmente Ignacio, quien se opone a las ideas de Carlos y defiende la comodidad de su mundo conocido. La obra plantea preguntas sobre la naturaleza de la felicidad y si la búsqueda de la verdad justifica la destrucción de la ilusión.
