«En la carretera: El rollo mecanografiado original» is the novel by Jack Kerouac, published by Anagrama in paperback (448 pages, in Spanish).
This edition recovers the original typed scroll without the cuts of previous versions and restores the real names: Sal Paradise is Kerouac, Dean Moriarty is Cassady, Carlo Marx is Ginsberg and Bull Lee is Burroughs. It narrates the group's travels across North America, between jazz and the craving for freedom, as a manifesto of the beat generation.
Volume 726 of the Panorama de narrativas collection, translated by Jesús Zulaika Goicoechea. Original title: On the Road: The Original Scroll.
For readers of cult novels, the beat generation and travel literature; also for those who want to finally read the original text.
