«En realidad se miente mucho más» is the romantic novel by Kerstin Gier, published by Plaza & Janés in paperback (240 pages, in Spanish).
Carolin, young and widowed, receives an inheritance that enrages her in-laws. In the midst of grief and surrounded by lies, she leans on her sister, the friends from the shoe store, a surreal psychologist and a peculiar pharmacist. The novel blends humor and irony to show how to hit rock bottom and move forward, and that what is valuable cannot be bought with money.
The novel was originally published in 2009 in German under the title «In Wahrheit wird viel mehr gelogen»; the Spanish edition from Plaza & Janés appeared in 2011.
A novel aimed at readers who enjoy romantic comedy, ironic humor and stories with contemporary female characters.
Kerstin Gier is a German author of novels for adults and young adults. Her popular young adult novel Rubinrot and its two sequels – a series about time travel – as well as her Silber trilogy were translated into English by Anthea Bell.
