«Eneida» is Virgil's Latin epic, published by Orbis: Historia Universal de la Literatura in hardcover (100 pages, in Spanish).
Written at Augustus's request to give Rome a mythical origin, it narrates Aeneas's flight after the fall of Troy and his journey to Italy, where he is destined to found the Roman line. Along the way he suffers storms, faces the Cyclops Polyphemus, experiences Dido's love, and descends to the underworld before waging war in Latium.
1982 edition within the Historia Universal de la Literatura collection (no. 46). The poem consists of twelve books and is written in dactylic hexameters.
Recommended for readers interested in Greco-Roman classics, epic poetry, and Rome's foundational myths.

Publius Vergilius Maro, usually called Virgil or Vergil in English, was an ancient Roman poet of the Augustan period. He composed three of the most famous poems in Latin literature: the Eclogues, the Georgics, and the epic Aeneid. Some minor poems, collected in the Appendix Vergiliana, were attributed to him in ancient times, but modern scholars regard these as spurious, with the possible exception of some short pieces.
