«Enraizada» is a poetry collection by Miriam Damaris Mardivino, published by Valparaíso Ediciones in 2022, in paperback (56 pages, in Spanish).
A woman's voice runs through the collection with deep intimacy and a sensuality that permeates everything. The poems weave Afro-Caribbean roots and a feminism of cultural resistance: they rebel against the colonizing gaze, forgetfulness, and the domestication of the word, seeking a home for the silenced and for those who transform their world.
It is the first poetry collection by the Puerto Rican writer, published on May 9, 2022.
For readers of contemporary poetry interested in a feminist voice and Afro-Caribbean roots.
