Once Upon a Time is a shojo manga by Yuki Obata, which presents a story that moves away from repetitive themes, showing youthful love as something simple and superficial. Nana Takashi is a young student who is not interested in Yano Mothoharu, the most popular boy in her class. However, little by little, Nana will discover the real Yano, and she will be able to see that behind her smiles she hides a heavy shadow: that of an ex-girlfriend who cheated on him with another, who died in a tragic accident, forever destroying her trust in people, destiny and love.
