«Espígol blau» is a collection of English poems adapted into Catalan by Marià Manent, published by BARCANOVA in paperback (48 pages, in Catalan).
Marià Manent translated and adapted into Catalan some old English poems that mothers and nurses recited to children. They are fun poems meant to make readers laugh, move them, or inspire songs; verses that do not age and keep their magic for today's readers.
The edition is from 1998, in the Sopa de Llibres collection (Verda series), with illustrations by Teresa Martí.
Recommended for children aged 9 to 12, as a first approach to poetry in Catalan.
