«Estuche ABECECUENTOS cada letra, un cuento» is a hardcover set of children's stories by Beatriz Doumerc and Gabriel Barnes, published by Editorial Bruño (576 pages, in Spanish).
The set brings together four volumes of short stories featuring animals and friendly characters, one for each letter of the alphabet. Each story works on a specific sound and uses pictograms that replace words, inviting readers to recognize letters and take part in the reading. It includes stories such as those of the cat Gatón, the penguin Pepino or the toad Sapón.
ABECECUENTOS collection. Recommended for children aged 3 to 6 and also published within the Zoo series.
Designed for children beginning to familiarize themselves with the alphabet and for parents or educators looking for short readings with visual support.
Beatriz Doumerc de Barnes was an Argentine writer of children's literature. Her book, La línea, illustrated by her husband, Ayax "Pacho" Barnes, was awarded the Casa de las Américas Prize in 1975.
